March 2012 - WRU have K3 installed at the Millennium Stadium

Having recorded panoramic video at the recent world cup using the portable K2 from Spinsight, Rhys Long, Head of Performance Analysis for the WRU, commented “Over the past 18 months, panoramic video from our K2 became an important part of our analysis process which prompted us to explore a permanent solution for the Millennium Stadium. The K3 that’s now installed gives us high quality panoramic video and the automated operation makes it really easy to record our games.”

The K3 provides an overview of all the action on the field and delivers video live to the coaches’ box. Spinsight are now working with analysts at the WRU to create a solution that adds a short time delay to the video feed so that phases of play can be reviewed from panoramic video immediately after they happen.
